Eco-Night and chance to win $25,000 highlight this week’s games!

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that they will host Eco-Night on Saturday evening and a special edition of KOOL FM’s “Beat the Bank” during this Friday’s contest when the team takes on the Idaho Steelheads.
The team’s second annual Eco-night goes on Saturday evening that the Salmon Kings will co-host with The Land Conservatory (TLC) in an effort to promote ecological awareness. All 50/50 and Chuck-a-Puck proceeds on Saturday will be donated to TLC, with the winner of the Chuck-a-Puck promotion winning a weekend getaway to TLC’s first acquisition, South Winchelsea Island, near Nanoose Bay. The travel package includes ferry service to-and-from the 25-acre island, as well as accommodation in a six-person cottage.
KOOL FM morning hosts Brian Bailey and Robin Farrell will be on hand this Friday to give one fan a chance to take home $25,000 during a live edition of their popular “Beat the Bank” contest during the second intermission. Fans can enter for the chance to play at the KOOL FM table in the main concourse of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Friday night! One lucky fan will be chosen to try and “Beat the Bank” to win a large cash prize!
During tonight’s series opener versus Idaho, West Coast Air will be on hand to run the Salmon Kings’ Chuck-a-Puck promotion. Fans can purchase and make their own paper plane from the West Coast Air table and use it during the second intermission Chuck-a-Puck for a chance to win airfare for two to Vancouver.
The Salmon Kings’ Booster Club will also be on selling $5 raffle tickets throughout the series for a chance to win a trip for two anywhere WestJet flies, valued up to $4600! The Booster Club will also have special auction items available on Friday and Saturday that include autographed Vancouver Canucks memorabilia.
SHAW will also be on hand Friday night to continue their “Customer Appreciation Nights”. Fans are encouraged to visit SHAW’s table during Friday’s game to receive Cheer Stix and to enter to win a Shaw Digital Cable as well as a Canucks Pay-Per-View package.
The Salmon Kings return home to host the National Conference leading Idaho Steelheads with matches tonight, Friday, March 12th, and Saturday, March 13th. Puck drop for all three games at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre is at 7:05 p.m. Next Saturday’s contest is the Salmon Kings’ second annual Eco Night.
