Victoria, BC – The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that special advanced ticket prices are still available to purchase for this weekend’s second-annual Eco Night.
Saturday night is “Eco Night” at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre where the Salmon Kings will team up with The Land Conservancy of British Columbia (TLC) to promote ecological awareness throughout the evening. Advanced tickets are now available to purchase for Eco Night for just $18! From each ticket sale, $3 will be donated to TLC to help their initiatives throughout British Columbia. Advanced tickets are available until Thursday through Select Your Tickets (www.selectyourtickets.com or 250-220-7777) or TLC (www.conservancy.bc.ca).
Throughout the night, TLC will be raffling off a Clipper Canoe from Ocean River Sports, and will be handing out a limited amount of tree saplings from their concourse booths after the game. TLC will also be selling reflective green arm-bands throughout the evening with all proceeds supporting their current projects. The “green bands for green lands” will be available for $5 each.
Cannor Nursery will also be on site handing out 500 packages of vegetable seeds. The CRD will be in attendance raffling off a low-flow toilet as well as handing out leak detector tablets and rain gauges. Other partners in attendance will include BC Hydro Power Smart, Sustainable U, General Paint, Discover Chiropractic, Accent Inns, Shaw, West Coast Air, and WildPlay Element Parks. Make sure to visit the display booths of these local businesses in the concourse area of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre for information on their dedication to improving the environmental footprint!
The Salmon Kings will also be donating all proceeds from their 50/50 and Chuck-a-Puck promotions on Eco Night to TLC. The winner of the Chuck-a-Puck promotion will receive a weekend getaway to TLC’s first acquisition, South Winchelsea Island, near Nanoose Bay. The travel package includes ferry service to-and-from the 25-acre island, as well as accommodation in a six-person cottage.
Victoria returns home to host the National Conference leading Idaho Steelheads for a three-game set with matches tomorrow, Friday, March 12th, and Saturday, March 13th. Puck drop for all three games at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre is 7:05 p.m. For tickets, call 250-220-7777 or visit www.selectyourtickets.com
