Pink in the Rink - Saturday January 16th, 2010
The Victoria Salmon Kings and the BC Cancer Foundation have partnered once again for a night dedicated to raising money for cancer research. January 16th, 2010. During this event together we intend to educate the Capital Region on the BC Cancer Foundation’s role in our communities and encourage our fans to support this charitable organization through the variety of initiatives developed.
The Salmon Kings have a special advanced ticket price of $16.00 with $5.00 from each ticket going to the BC Cancer Foundation. Every ticket purchased for Pink in the Rink will be entered into a draw, held on the night of the event were one lucky fan will win tickets and accommodations for a world class sporting event in Vancouver; February 25th, 2010.
On game night the first 2,000 fans that make a suggested $5 donation to the BC Cancer Foundation will receive a limited edition Toque or scarf; we will have both pink and grey toques and scarves on hand.
The BC Cancer Foundation will be hosting the 50/50 on this night and a Chuck-A-Puck contest with multiple prizes to be won, including: $500 Hillside Centre gift card, Sony MP3 Player, Guitar Hero- World Tour, Concert package, and a fishing charter. TELUS will be hosting the second intermission promotion with one lucky fan receiving a Blackberry Pink Pearl.
The Salmon Kings players will dawn special pink jerseys for this year’s Pink in the Rink. KOOL FM will be hosting a sneak preview of the sweaters at the Hillside Centre. For this event players will be in attendance to meet fans, sign autographs, and partake in a floor hockey scrimmage again the KOOL FM promo team and kids in attendance. An auction for two jerseys will be held on-line the week of. During the game we will have a silent auction for two additional jerseys and at the conclusion of the game we will host a live auction for one players game worn jersey with all proceeds from the auction going to the BC Cancer Foundation.
