Victoria Salmon Kings Mini Minor Hockey

The Victoria Salmon Kings are proud supporters of Mini Minor Hockey and have six minor hockey affiliates for the 2009-10 season: Victoria Racquet Club, Victoria Minor Hockey, Saanich Minor Hockey, Peninsula Minor Hockey, Sooke Minor Hockey, and Juan De Fuce Minor Hockey. These minor hockey associations are each given the chance to utilize the 50/50 draws and Chuck-a-Puck promotions at Salmon Kings home games to raise funds for their respective organizations. Due to government cuts in minor hockey gaming grants this past summer, the Victoria Salmon Kings have increased the number of Chuck-a-Puck dates this season to help alleviate operational costs and raise money for grassroots hockey. Entering the 2009-10 season, the Salmon Kings and their affiliates have raised over $360,000 for minor hockey on Vancouver Island. 100.3 the Q and Kirby's Source for Sports also proudly support and sponsor jerseys for Mini Minor games during intermission.
